We bought the Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the beginning of the video at Penn Station. Normally, we'd advise you to never ingest anything that has at any point entered or left Penn Station (for your health and safety), but we always make an exception for Krispy Kreme. And this is solely because there is only one Krispy Kreme location in New York City. I think the criticisms she had were really about the yeast. Platinum red star yeast vs Fleishman's bread dough yeast. Worthy of test kitchen challenge. Also wonder if the unevenness with the bubbles would be solved with instaferm. Never used it but it comes across as more refined and less time consuming as far as proofing (under or over being moot).

This has got to be one of the dumbest waste of time ideas ever. Every time one of BA’s videos pops up in my feed, the more I miss the original Bon Appetite. You’re 10x snobbier than the original, you don’t come up wit original ideas, so many of your projects are just trying to make something “better than the original”. Why don’t you try creating new recipes? Having original ideas? It says so much about current society: no originality, no true creativity.

Just saw this. Loved it! If you want the glazed sheen like Crispy Creme then, take the hot donuts right out of the fryer, dip them in the glaze and set on a cooling rack until dry. The hot donut will "melt" and dry the glaze on the donut skin. It improves the adhesiveness and thins the glaze out just enough to form that shiny sheen.
